0140 UTC:

Hello everyone,

For some hours I have been observing a station sending "LP LP LP ..." on 10137.420 Khz.   Does anyone know who this station is?   There could be a fast CWID  immediately preceding every second "LP".

Thanks,

David, VK6DI, OF88cc.

Latest email from Larry reads -

David,

Well would you believe that you have copied my 7 mW beacon!!!!!
LP is for Larry Putman and that is my Hifer beacon  ID also!!
The fast cw id is vvv de wb3anq fm19rc !!! You must have SUPER EARS!!!
I just shut it off at 0200UTC The inverted V must really be doing a good job.
Congratulations!

Larry

Success on our first try!    Larry's 7 mW 30M QRSS signal as rec'd on a low 40M dipole at VK6DI.

Hello Knights,

I want to confirm David's reception of my QRSS 3  signal!
AT 7 mW I did not think anyone would notice my signal and was very surprised to hear that David VK6DI did see me!
I was using a dipole in the inverted V configuration with the apex at about 30' the sloping ends at 10' NE/SW.
Path distance was 18,645 km at 301 degrees.

Congratulations to David VK6DI!! and thanks for listening!!!
